Where To Look For Interior Design Inspiration
Do you see an interior design project on the horizon, but don't have a clue how to reach that goal? Obviously, interior design is a visual process, so you must look at beautiful pictures. Put your hands on some well-done shelter periodicals and prepare to feast your eyes and be inspired. To venture out of your comfort zone and create something unique and exciting, I suggest picking up a few to which you might not usually gravitate. Here are my favorites.
Elle Decor brings you monthly the latest news and trends in all areas of interior design and decorating. Celebrity interiors and fashion are sure to delight. Fabulous renovation stories are featured. The magazine honors contemporary and eclectic styles. You'll see how the latest trends span all areas of fashion and interior styling. And thank goodness for Elle Decor for enlightening me that I am more intelligent because I have conversations with my cats.
AD brings a monthly delight of some of the most beautiful properties in the world. They are the premier source for breathtaking views of how the other half lives in the photography genius of celebrity homes. I especially enjoyed the view of Meg Ryan's New York City loft. The bring you the latest trendy products for homes and where to find them. This magazine is a must for any style aficionado's coffee table.
Veranda brings tradition and luxury together in a comfortable and entertaining blend that only they can do. Aside from beautiful photo galleries of amazing homes, they also bring seasonal stories of gardens, travel, food and other aspects of luxury living. I especially enjoyed their recent story of the home that provided the exterior view of where Mary lived in the Mary Tyler Moore Show. It's for sale if you're interested.
I hope this small tour of my favorite shelter magazines is inspirational and entertaining for you. Pick up one of them that you've never before seen. Enjoy and if it inspires a project, give me a call.
